One. I can’t believe that woman swatted that boy away. Disgusting behavior. TWO. CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE WATCHED THIS HAPPEN IN FRONT OF THEM AND DID NOTHING.
The first guy who stepped up, Eduardo, shined in that moment. But credit needs to be given to the lady he was with. She spurred him into action and let him take the "hero" credit. That's an admirable woman.

That Karen was rude AF, so mean to a child
The last guy approached it perfectly. He ensured that she couldn't get into her car subtly, and spoke to her about the situation calmly, and in a way that made her feel like it was friendly banter rather than an altercation/accusation. This is often the best way to deal with drunk people, if you have to - make it feel like you're WITH them, not against them. Props to that dude!

I've worked at bars for decades. It's always a very delicate situation to tell someone they can't drive home. People who are drunk can turn violent very quickly, especially New Yorkers, and Texans.
The thing that makes me so upset about this situation, is that those adults understand FAR MORE how dangerous this situation is, far more than that boy even does. So for him to say he feels scared and unsafe.. but mean it’s a VERY unsafe situation. If this was real, for the kid to be that aware of the danger…I don’t know how people COULD do nothing.
This was my childhood. So many times my dad would drive us home drunk. Glad he's changed now
When I was a 6yo kid, my father came to pick me up from school, drunk. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life.
