It sounds to me, as a trans dude, that the reason Alex kept bringing up the past relationship instead of just doing the normal thing and ignoring it is because he was overcompensating trying to get people to validate his identity by trying to downplay or invalidate OP's identity. Which is just so weird and such a dick move. I get he's insecure but that doesn't mean he has to constantly bring up the past in order to invalidate someone else's and the fact he was all like "yeahh haha I'm so handsome it turned a lesbian straight" is SO weird. Like it's the exactttt same talking points cisstraight guys use to invalidate lesbian women. Like the EXACT same. I get being insecure about previously being in a "lesbian" relationship as a trans dude but he IS the one who keeps bringing it up. He did it to himself by constantly trying to validate his own identity by minimizing the identity of a queer woman. He can literally just not. He doesn't have to keep bringing it up just because he feels the need to "correct" the past. He's always been a man, I believe that, but she didn't know that at the time, therefore she wasn't attracted to a man. She literally said herself "I just wanna forget who he was in the past and embrace him as who he is now but I can't when he's constantly bringing up the past." It's just childish behavior tbh and I feel for him to an extent but he made the whole situation just so unnecessary and it's not fair of him to invalidate someone else's identity when literally no one was bringing it up to begin with. In no universe is OP the asshole. I really don't think she has anything to apologize for, she wasn't invalidating his identity at all and it was a pretty reasonable crash out imo.

Story 1 is almost certainly fake, so we can all breathe easily. All these individual elements could happen, but all of this together is just too much. People like Alex really irritate me. At that point you were known as a woman who was in WLW relationships. It's totally fine that now you realized you're trans. But, you can't rewrite other people's history. OP is gay and not into men at all. You can't retroactively call this a straight relationship
