While I can acknowledge that her being on her phone is probably some kind of coping mechanism/avoiding social interaction and she’s probably very addicted, it’s still extremely rude, disrespectful and unhealthy for her too. Another one that stood out to me is her quitting her job, most jobs are extremely difficult and draining for autistic people especially because all jobs require a certain amount of social interaction and non-stop masking which is extremely draining, but she’s not willing to admit that to herself let alone others that she has a problem so she makes up excuses. And because getting help would mean admitting she has a problem she would rather just leech off of others. Does it excuse her behaviour if she does indeed have autism? Absolutely not but it could offer a bit of insight. Now she definitely shouldn’t be forced to get help and telling her to and pressuring her would most likely just push her further away from it. It has to be her idea and she has to be ready to admit to herself that she does have a problem and she needs help. Unfortunately she will probably have to learn the hard way. Autism or not my advice is to just be blunt with her, let her know that it’s rude to be on her phone at a restaurant ect, personally I wouldn’t bring up the eye contact though but I also don’t understand why people think it’s rude. If you haven’t clocked it by now I myself am autistic. I’d like to add that obviously autism is a spectrum, not like a straight that goes from not autistic to very autistic but in the way that it affects people differently.

My boyfriend and I are 23, my little brother just turned 19 he literally still looks like a baby to me and he’s not much younger then us. The older I get the younger teenagers/18-19 yr olds look to me. I cannot comprehend the way people’s minds work and how they find barely legally teenagers attractive at their grown age.

Hearing you talking about the first story is kind of therapeutic to me right now.. when I was 4 my brother who was a couple of years older than me started to touch me in inappropriate ways and I was way too little to understand what was happening and I went on to do the same to my younger brother when I was like 6. For the longest time I just wanted to forget about it because it just felt so weird and gross but was mostly just curiosity to me because I was aware that we had different parts and was repeating what had happened to me. I didn’t think about it for years. This weekend I went to visit my family and found out my younger brother who I passed it on to, is being investigated by cps and may have to serve time and it absolutely breaks my heart, I don’t even know the extent of what or why it’s happening but I’ve always known him as the sweetest most well rounded guy and just the fact that I may have caused him to do something disturbing to someone else, by what I did when I was a kid, makes me want to sob. I did talk to him about it and he said that he didn’t only get it from me my older brother who did things to me also did things to him and I just feel so much guilt and shame. It’s horrible, my heart is breaking for my family right now. My youngest siblings were also involved, the cycle continued through 5 children 😭🤮 when cps asked my older brother he said he doesn’t remember anything. But I think something happened to him for him to be doing those things at 6 years old

Okay so maybe at 10/11 the brother didn’t realize it was wrong, but a couple years after? He knew it was wrong and continued doing it. I’m not digging all the sympathy for the brother. He continued until 18. He called her his WIFE at 15. HE KNEW.
