I don’t get why people think it’s something with an age requirement. When I was 2 or 3 I said “I want earrings like mommy” and my ears were pierced and recovered nicely, now I don’t go through the pain

I was pierced as a baby. I recommend it honestly. Go to a professional piercer. I NEVER fussed, let alone cried, when getting vaccinated and now I still donate blood with no fear of needles. I think piercing ears - provided it’s done professionally and the baby is not left traumatized by the experience which is basically what you’re gonna get by going to Claire’s - helps babies get over aversions to needles. Just saying. Not saying this works all the time, I’m not a scientist this is just me and my relatives. Those of us who got pierced as babies have no needle phobia. Almost all my relatives who weren’t pierced as a baby have some form of aversion to full blown phobias of needles.

Honestly, I like the idea of using milestones such as getting your ears pierced as a way to teach your child responsibility & work ethic. You can get your ears pierced once you’ve proven you can take care of your ears properly and work hard enough to show how much you want it. In the end, the child still gets to get their ears pierced and they get a good life lesson out of it. 😊

i was too scared to get my ears pierced til i was 18, was taken to to mall and was pierced with a gun. now i have like 4 other piercings, all from a tattoo shop. definitely recommend if you're gonna get a young chils pierced take them to a professional and not the mall. hurt way more for longer with my first piercing
