For a lot of your interconnectivity problem between devices KDE Connect is pretty sweet. It is available pretty much on any platform (no public release for mac, but there are nightly builds. iOS is supported too so you can still fit your iPhone), got clipboard sharing, file sharing (like airdrop or localsend), notification sharing (you see notifications from the paired device to a laptop for example), multimedia control (you can pause, play next or previous, manipulate the progress bar, and volume on another device), remote input (turn your device to a mouse and keyboard for another device), presentation remote, and find your device (ring the device you want to find). The only missing feature from phone link is probably calling and messaging.
I have to say, that edit on this video is so perfect and proffesional! For example i love the higlit of the watch in 13:34. And so much more... Well done!
You have not tried to escape. And you didn't accept any compromises. Garmin is the one watch brand that is compatible with everything, can do everything with a monster battery time, and I don't know which watch you looked at, but I never saw a laggy one. These Apple ads on your channel got more and more. But I still support your other content. Congrats to your baby!
You really nailed the editing and style of this video. It’s similar to the other ones, but it’s done well. Good job.
6:49 But Like If Your Leaving The Apple Ecosystem Don't You Have To Change Your Apple Watch And MacBook to leave properly.
10:00 can we just appreciate the editing skills in this video, how is he talking very clearly with no backround noise whatsoever
You did not exit Apple ecosystem, you only switched your phone brand 🤦🏽♂️
he wouldn't dare do a apple vs xiaomi ecosystem comparison
What I wanted to see: Review of Android ecosystem of a same brand (e.g. Galaxy book, Samsung watch, ZFlip, etc) What I saw: Oppo doesn’t work well with Mac and Galaxy watch
"... for the way I use my devices" is the most important line in at 15m22s in. Knowing how YOU use your devices is absolutely critical to getting the right thing for your needs. Good video.
The effort was appreciated! It was interesting to see your experience here (even if it may sound like an Apple ad). However, I'm not going to lie, the issues you have were not an issue for me (on at least using Android); KDE Connect and local send work flawlessly (in both linux and Windows). I also run Galaxy Buds and watches so I had no issues. I would love to experiment with running an iPhone and a Mac to see how it works for my usage. Maybe one day!
I literate live seconds from Parque Eduardo Sétimo in Portugal, but with your eyes and image quality is a different vibe 🙌
I'm portuguese and recognized my city immediately. Hope you had a lovely time here
As an Android fan, thank you Apple for showing Kurdistan name 😂❤❤❤ Long life Kurdistan✌🏻💛
I think I've already commented once, but let's do it again and make it easier for Arun. You often mention that the Apple ecosystem solves a lot of day-to-day tech frustrations, and honestly, that's true. But I don't think Apple is the only ecosystem that can do that anymore. Let's assume the average person only needs four devices: a smartphone, smartwatch, laptop, and tablet. If you go all-in on Samsung, you could get something like a Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Galaxy Watch Ultra (or Watch 8 Classic), and a Galaxy Book laptop. With that combination alone, I'd argue that 95% or more of the ecosystem benefits you've talked about in your videos are already covered. You get seamless file sharing, cross-device copy and paste, synced notifications, call and message continuity, multi-control between devices, second-screen functionality with the tablet, automatic hotspot switching, Samsung Notes syncing, Galaxy AI features across devices, Quick Share, and a surprisingly smooth experience overall. And before anyone says I'm biased, I'm actually not. I'm not an Apple fanboy, and I'm not an Apple hater either. My current setup is a Samsung phone and a MacBook, so I've used both sides. Apple definitely deserves credit for building one of the most polished ecosystems in tech, but I think people sometimes act as if it's the only ecosystem that works properly. The reality is that Samsung has quietly built an ecosystem that has become incredibly mature over the past few years. Is it absolutely perfect? No. Is it as tightly controlled as Apple's ecosystem? Also no. But for most people, it delivers almost all of the same practical benefits while giving users more flexibility and freedom in how they use their devices. The biggest difference today isn't whether the ecosystem works—it's how much value you personally place on Apple's specific advantages versus the openness and flexibility offered elsewhere. So my take is simple: Apple has an excellent ecosystem, but it is no longer the only excellent ecosystem. Samsung has reached a point where, for many users, it can provide nearly the same convenience while fitting more naturally into a wider range of workflows. Just my thoughts from someone who uses both.
imagine trying to integrate OPPO, SAMSUNG AND APPLE. bro tried to Frankenstein an ecosystem and wonders why it was a disaster
Samsung doesn't have a LOT of those problems you're having on their devices. That's just an OPPO problem.
4:19 RAAAAR KURDISTAN mentioned❤️☀️💚✌️✌️✌️ Brother you need to book a trip to Kurdistan and pay us a visit especially to Erbil “Hewler” and visit our great mountains and waterfalls. Great video brother and have a nice one❤️☀️💚✌️
That's true, Arun! But what about the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem? I haven't tried it personally, but it seems like the devices you used as Apple alternatives were from very different companies that aren't optimized to work together, unlike Apple's tightly integrated lineup. Samsung also locks certain features to Samsung-only devices (Quick Share, Second Screen, Samsung Flow, etc.), just like Apple does. That would make for a more apples-to-apples comparison! Would love to see you do a full Samsung ecosystem video someday! 🙌
So Arun . You got this disaster result because you tried putting one Android device into the apple ecosystem . If you try to use an all android ecosystem with all android devices you will find little to none problems . It might not feel better than apple but it'll still be very smooth and great . Btw Nice new pfp.
