that chart at 7:46... why have i never seen it framed that way. awesome!
Wow, that Strix board :49 is gorgeous!
just the best video out there literally , i think about pc setups like this and what really matter😚
Appreciate you for prioritising video/monitor. People get in the weeds with stuff like keyboards, but the graphics/monitor output is the thing that’s 100% constant
On RAM, make sure you're running dual channel. There was a period (maybe mid 2010s), where a lot of benchmarks showed minimal difference in performance for gaming, but these days there are games like Overwatch that are heavily sensitive to memory bandwidth. When I had my old PC, adding a second stick of the same RAM literally gave me a 20-30% FPS boost (I benchmarked the same replay before & after the upgrade). Yes, it can be that important depending on the game! If you're running a GPU-bound game at like 50fps it probably won't do much, but for Overwatch it was the difference between being able to play locked at 144hz vs 200hz.
😮 I really needed to hear this now I can optimize my purchases thank you optimum
For ram what you want is the lower latency (CAS latency) 28-30 is good for DDR5 and 16 is ideal for DDR4 - lower is better
very very very good video and graphics with info, thank you very much
I can like the video before watching it cause I know it'll be good! Optimum Tech thanks for the quality content.
LETSGO, I've been waiting for a video like this for a fat minute. So glad you did it. Thank you thank you
Love the list, worth noting some games can flag you a ban with the keyboards rapid trigger
This is probably the best simple breakdown of how to tune your setup for sweaty gaming.
Just to illustrate how important specs can be for gaming, I went from a laptop to a proper gaming pc, and my Human Benchmark reaction time scores dropped from 270ms to about 160-170ms. Now, in competetive community reaction time is a bit of a meme, but it is 100ms difference on a website page, imagine how much it affects stuff in-game. Also, want to mention mouse skates, as they are a pretty cheap way to make your mousepad feel different, so you don't have to spend money on a new one.
You should Also do more investigating onto the Network Side on like Routers and Modem and just network upgrades for latency improvement from that subsection as well, be interesting to see and learn about.
I have a melgeek made68 pro, ive been super happy with it.
Verywell put together. Thanks
I’m literally trying to upgrade my set up looking for what to upgrade and boom this vids on my feed. The lord has spoken 😊
Hi optimum I been watching you for I while i want to buy a budget oled monitor please tell me what is the best oled monitor in looks, panel, quality and performance in budget with minimal branding!! Love your videos btw❤
Nice just as I got caught up on the rest of your videos.
What's absolutely incredible is. I agreed with everything, at least nothing is new, but i WILL still sit down and watch the whole video and enjoying it, because it yours, your voice, your face, your editing style, everything. That's the beauty of building a community this healthy. Thanks brother.
