The Russian journey - Ep. 1 After spending half a year traveling across Asia, I need to return back to Europe. With my last adventure being a bicycle trip in Mongolia, instead of taking a flight to Germany, I embark onto a long overland journey through Russia, the world's largest country. I plan to take the TransSiberian Railway, all the way from Lake Baikal to Moscow. But first I explore Lake Baikal, the world's oldest and deepest freshwater lake, and share my first impressions of Russia & Siberia, and how I am treated as Westerner, given the ongoing political tension. Randomly stopping off the train without local currency, on a national holiday followed by a Sunday, without much food, with limited eSIM coverage, where limited hotels accept foreigners and some are full. And yet pulled it off masterfully. Such a cool adventure and really good travelling skills. Fantastic.
