That’s why video games are often more focused on younger audiences. It’s much easier to impress an inexperienced mind than an experienced one. The same applies to most entertainment media.
I'm glad someone else knows about the L4D2 Resident Evil mod.
I don't know what is worse, the culture wars or the console wars. And we got them both at one title.
I just want a good, new burnout game
At least we have blender cube in God of War
Not a single company is going to throw $100+ million dollars and multiple years on an experiment. We're never going to see any kind of golden age of gaming again on consoles, the renaissance is with indie. It's no wonder that companies are trying to appear indie or hide their involvement so people feel less suspicious about their games when they do show up, yet they _still_ can't help but put multi-million dollar ad campaigns behind them.
We may as well just call it an "arkham-like" at this point
Ps2 has yet to be topped
“One game and I don’t know why!”
What are your thoughts on ILL? Im personally pretty excited for it
I think there is an issue with graphics snobs being overly catered to in the past 5-10 years with very little gameplay innovations coming from AAA studios. That, plus the AAA studios needing to make successful games therefore they are too afraid to take risks
"This Insomniac game looks a lot like this other Insomniac game"
This channel has devolved into doomerslop generator

We act like game studios haven't been making variations of the same formulas they're known for since the beginning of the industry. When they stick to what works, people complain they're playing it safe. When they try something different, people lose their minds because it's not exactly what they expected. At some point, we should just let developers create the games they actually want to make. If a game looks good to you, buy it and play it. If you're unsure, wait for reviews or a sale. If it doesn't appeal to you at all, then don't buy it. It's really that simple. What's become exhausting is the constant outrage cycle where every creative decision that doesn't align with someone's personal preferences is treated like a catastrophe. Not every game is meant for every player, and that's okay. Nobody is forcing anyone to play these games. The gaming industry isn't going to collapse because a studio experimented with a new direction. Markets have a way of correcting themselves. If players don't support something, companies adapt. If they do support it, then clearly there was an audience for it. Instead of spending all day angry about games you don't want to play, maybe spend more time enjoying the ones you do.
