Stop eating big meals when you’re playing tournaments. It diverts blood away from your brain to your stomach and slows down your reaction time and makes you sluggish. Eat two to three hours before the tournament and take an energy drink before and during tournament. Also, get some rest before jumping into a tournament. The goal is to be at peak performance during the tournament.
