Trained martial artist and fighter here. Thereโs a huge difference between having martial arts skills and being an experienced fighter. Michael Jai White is undoubtedly highly skilled and has valuable techniques that fighters can learn from. But teaching techniques and applying them under the pressure of a real fight are two very different things. Someone like Mike Perry has spent years dealing with the pace, pressure, chaos, adrenaline, and physicality of actual combat. In a real fight, that experience matters tremendously. An experienced fighter knows how to stay composed, manage the adrenaline dump, absorb damage, and keep performing when things get ugly. MJW could certainly teach fighters some unique tools and techniques, but against a seasoned fighter like Perry, the gap in real fight experience would become apparent very quickly. Factor in MJW age as well; he is no spring chicken.
