When i was in rehab, one of the staff talked most of us into playing soft ball. Well said staff was up to bat, and hit a line drive right into this old man pitching's eye. He lost the eye

That happened to me. No safety net. Batting practice. I was about 5 feet closer than that guy. Broke half my face. No bruising or swelling. Very buzarre

Same exact thing happened to me pitching when I was 12 in Little League. I thought I was done for, line drive up the box, took one square in the face. Took me 5 minutes or so to come to my senses...No blood though by some grace of god.

That net gave him a false sense of security. That's what the glove is for, and always be ready. And get rid of the stupid net.

Happened to me once. We pitched for our own team, and I hit my pitcher square in the neck trying to hit to right field. Next stop Kaiser Medical Center where he was released three days later. Rough time.

That's why the pitcher wears a mitt. He could have caught that.

I'm so old 20 years ago we played not only without a safety the goal was to hit it up the middle as it was the easiest spot to get ahead
