Broadcast clip = 30 fps. The ball takes 7 frames to travel those 9.15 meters. That's 9.15/0.233 = 39.21 m/s. Converted (x3.6) = 141.2 km/h, or 87.7 mph -- more than 20 km/h faster than his "official" record. When the football has been shot, it slows down while moving in the air. So long range bangers have always a surprisingly low measured speed, while shots fired from close range are measured faster, even though their initial speeds would've been the same. I think a function could be developed to take the into account the negative acceleration of the airborne ball and determine the initial speed of the shot
