My mother had a similar problem. When I was young, my dad made wine. My mother usually had 4-5 half-empty glasses of wine around the house. If she forgot where she left a glass, she just filled up another one. And she was always very relaxed with a buzz on.

30 years ago nobody had a water bottle. Before that we drank from the tap or from the garden hose if we were outside.
