Tourette in 10 - School Awareness Campaign based off of Student-led Research

May 15 – June 15 is Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month. In recognition of this important month, eighth-grade student Mitra Suriyanarayanan from Scott Highlands Middle School presents Tourette in 10 — an educational video that spreads awareness about Tourette Syndrome in under 10 minutes through her award-winning science research project. Through research, real student experiences, and expert insights, Mitra highlights the challenges students with Tourette Syndrome may face in school and shares ways classmates, educators, and communities can create a more supportive and inclusive environment. This informative project encourages empathy, understanding, and advocacy for neurodiverse students.
