We have a spending problem. First step is to admit we have that problem.
What an embarrassment to the city of Seattle to have a "mayor" such as this, who is constantly investigating and researching, downplaying, and refusing to answer basic questions. She is NOT pro-business, and everyone knows it. She can talk herself blue in the face about helpful conversations she is having, but businesses are leaving the city every single day and so are residents who have been contributing to much of the tax revenue.
I've only listened to 3 minutes into this interview and I am gobsmacked. This mayor complains that we have a regressive tax system but then says she's excited about a tax that she even admits is regressive. Where do these people come up with these ideas
Do the city a favor and the right thing and resign. Utterly clueless
Keep adding services, keep adding taxes, is the Democratic way of leading. People with a means leave, so the people without get even less. At this rate, how long will Seattle last and Washington as a state with this level of leadership? Funny how she keeps falling back on the pandemic as a trigger, but those were policies that the Dem lead city, at that time, enacted themselves, this is just a 'doom loop' she is addressing, of which she uses to boost their current decision making.
