Why are you assuming that the only phone is Apple? None of this except for report fraud works for Android.
At a minimum I usually get 2-3 spam calls and 5-6 texts per day, mostly political. If I were do perform this routine I’d kill a lot of my valuable time. I just silence ALL calls not on my contacts. Legit callers leave vm messages. I’ve completely stopped all political donations. The idiots ruined it for themselves by selling my #.
This is useless - these callers hide their caller ID using an unlimited source of randomly-generated fake numbers. As long as they’re allowed to do this, we’re helpless. Oh, excuse me but I have to call somebody back regarding a $65,000 loan approval.
Lie, cheat and steal are all to common today. Society can not function if no one can be relied on to tell the truth.
None of this works. The nuclear option is block all numbers not in contacts list. A few legit calls may go to voicemail but a small price to pay. My phone would be ringing off the hook all day to finalize loan offers I supposedly applied for.
The FTC “investigates” very few cases. They are more less successful than the police in robberies, burglaries and murders which have low “solve rates”. The police literally only solve if they catch the person(s) in the act while responding. After the incident, investigations are pretty low, so that’s why they publicize the few successes, to justify the huge tax money on police.
9 times out of 10, I just load up an audio file of a fax machine and play it when these spammers call me. They mark it as a Fax line, and typically remove the number from their system. It satisfies the passive aggressive asshole within me too.. What I want to know is how to stop receiving voicemails from the numbers I've blocked. Blocking a number only prevents them from messaging you and calling you, it does not stop them from wasting your space on your voicemail.

So you want all of us to quit our jobs so we can process all the busy work of composing and submitting detailed reports for the agencies to ignore?
That would be a full time job for each spam/scam call! It can and should be spam and report or scam and report /one step! 😂
There needs to be a two-click resolution that blocks, reports, deletes etc. why is that so hard?

A better option would be for the phone makers to report the numbers and content to the regulators when we mark them as spam.

thank you for your great video. what i wonder: (i have iphone 16, OS 26.5) . . . i get calls that come up as "potential spam". what constitutes potential spam? who makes the determination? is this coming from apple or my carrier? i hesitate to take action other than delete because...well... what if it's not spam?
