I'm from Russia myself. For the second year now, because of Tapir and Bungie's ban, we can't play Destiny 2 properly. Therefore, I created a second account with a foreign IP address and upgraded all three characters from scratch: in total, I have 8387 hours on two accounts. To play, I even bought a VPN program for $50. So as long as Destiny exists, I'll be here. The Guardians can't lose!
I bet the live chats during the game awards is going to be nothing but Destiny 3 demands.
