Thank you for sponsoring Sammit and his Drift team. You guys are fantastic.
The fact this is still being worked on is good news in innovation. It's new tech that is still being worked on and from the sounds of it might become a real component. If this becomes an actual device I would sure as heck want to try one myself.
I really hope companies support this thing!
Linus- next gen breakthrough Comments- not a "fan"
i want to see a pc build with NO fans, using only these things, stacked. sure there'll be like a 100 of them, but it'll be fun!
I want a ceiling fan with this technology.
Genuinely game changing tech
Honestly most exciting innovation so far. Hope this would replace fans one day
I work in the printing/copier industry, this corona style wire is used on old copiers to generate an electric charge on a drum. However, many manufacturers have moved on from this technology because of its ozone foot print and replaced it with a charge roller. The material for the wire that Ventiva is using is probably Tungsten or a variant or mix of it.
There was a short circuit video about this a year ago. Nice to see a new company making interesting PC tech didn’t fade into obscurity
I’ve been waiting for this for two years. With the release of spark and also the movement towards more devices with apu and close proximity memory for speed, this is the most logical step forward. Lots of people in the comments are being doom and gloom about how this is never going to actually get into consumer hands but they are completely wrong, this is clearly the future and it’s coming soon. How exciting 🎉🎉
Does he address the power use compared to fans?
Now that is some seriously cool tech that I'm excited about. Complete opposite of that other thing everyone raves over.
I would love this! Silence is so important to me, having to use fans has always been a nuisance. Even if it wouldn't be an improvement to size on desktop machines, the noise reduction would be so worth it.
I love watching these tech videos just to see what the future might hold for us.
Doesn't ionic cooling use a ton of power and produce ozone?
TBH If there was a Desktop fan that's made from this, I would buy one in a heartbeat!
Sooooo what's the power consumption of these things? Negative unwanted effects on surrounding materials?
A revolutionary invention that will definitely not become obscure in a year or two just like all other breakthroughs. Hopefully I'm wrong.
This has got to be like a third or fourth video on this
