Actually I would highly recommend getting a small pet camera for the coop so you can keep an eye on the chickens because you live in the country so anything can attack your chickens and hurt them so I think it’s a smart idea so you can identify what has been sneaking around and hurting your chicken if that happens to be an issue later

My dad had a pet rooster when he was a child. The rooster was very protective of my dad, grandparents and uncle and they treated him like a dog.😂

I’m so excited to see landens journey in cheer and I’m so excited to see both Landen and addie are so good especially since landen just started I still remember the first ever time he learnt to do a back handspring he was just a little kid and addie has progressed in cheer so well I love watching her get better and better every season! And I’m so excited to see them both get better and better and being on the same team for both teams as well is so good especially since his talent went above to what he was hoping for for both teams! I’m so proud of the both of them and excited to see what this season brings for the both of them, I’ve been following since addie was like 5 months old! I love your family and your the most amazing mum and Chris is such an amazing step dad and dad I love seeing how close he is with lilia and the boys and his bond with addie is so cute to see 😊

The roosters will do a “hawk call” when they see a hawk in the sky to warn the hens and they all try to take cover. It’s pretty cool to watch

Hello ! If you raised this cute rooster, he will 99% be nice to you all, you actually can eat fertilized eggs it does not change anything except if you don't havest them every day. Roosters can be really nice, I've had one, and he was cuddling with me when I visited the chickens Have a nice day 😘🤩

We have snakes, hawks, crows, wild cats, opossums and raccoons. We have chicken wire all around the sides, and screen nets on the top, there is an extra layer on apart of the coop to offer more shade if wanted, chickens love music and mirrors and things to perch on and they like to scratch and dust bathe. We have never had an issue with with any animals getting in our coop from any outside way of the coop… only in the way that WE open it for the eggs. My friend had a coop where she pulls the drawer out to collect the eggs and all her chickens disappeared and when she checked her cameras raccoons every night helped themselves to chickens. We have it where we lift the roof and can take out the eggs. We had a raccoon take one chicken so we added a latch lock. We did have one instance where a baby opossum got in but that was during a coop clean out and it snuck in there lol. We had 5 chickens at first, one was eaten 2 years later, then one died and one became a bully and ate the other ones. We got 2 more and we are seeing how it goes because we want more but not if she’s gonna keep eating them. We are doing slow introduction.

Rehoming a pet always hurts, but at least its someone local that can take him. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to get rid of a pet.
