I still remember getting dress-coded at school by a male teacher and having to call my mom to bring me a new shirt to wear.........because my CAMI STRAPS, not even my bra straps, were peeking out of my shirt. My mom had to leave work, drive 1.5 hours home, get me a shirt, then drive 1.5 hours back to work. She was SO mad. And when I was allowed to go back to classes, the first thing I saw was a popular girl wearing a tube top & showing a LOT more skin than I had been yet getting away with it simply because there were zero straps. The absolute patriarchal, misogynistic ridiculousness of it all.

The thing is, those were never meant to be straps to be worn. Those straps were to make it easier to hang your clothes in the closet without them falling on the floor.

I dunno about that girl, but back in my days, we respected the clear straps 😤 if someone had clear straps, no they didn't, they didn't have straps at all and that tube top was staying in place by God's good grace as intended 😂

Lol 🤣 I always wondered why girls thought they were "okay" for their not so clear, clear straps to be showing. Honestly, anyone who wore them were in complete denial they showed up at all. And everyone else was supposed to pretend they werent there as well 🤣🤣

I mean the clear wasn't to make it look like nothing, its so the straps match every top because it has no color. If it was pink or white it might not match everything but the clear ones do
