These kittens were terrified of the Golden Retriever. They hissed. They stayed back. They werenβt sure if he was safe. Then Mom Cat arrived. The moment they saw her calmly trust him, everything changed. Within minutes they were cuddling, climbing on him, and falling asleep beside him. This is a beautiful example of what psychologists call social referencing and what many parenting professionals call co-regulation. Children donβt learn safety only from words. They learn safety by watching the people they trust. They observe: β¨ How we respond to others β¨ How we handle stress β¨ Who we welcome into our lives β¨ Whether our nervous system says βdangerβ or βsafeβ Before children learn to regulate themselves, they borrow regulation from the adults around them. Sometimes the greatest lesson isnβt what we teach. Itβs what we model. β€οΈπΎ π₯ Educational/entertainment purposes only. Nobody can tell me that animals don't have all the same range of emotions that humans have.
Pup was so gentle and patient. He was all about the snuggle time.
The way dogs react to babies of all species is honestly so cute.
This might be the cutest demonstration of co-regulation Iβve ever seen. π₯Ή The kittens went from hissing to cuddling the moment Mom showed them it was safe. How often do you think children borrow emotional cues from the adults around them? π
That dog was just a big ball of respectful love
"Kids, he's fine! He's one of us! Look!"
Dog: :) Kittens: [angry sprinkler sounds]
Golden's life goal is to make as many friends as possible, that includes all the robbers
Look how happy the dog is after they all nap. Enough to make a grown man cry.
Most people get new pets when the old ones pass away. But the reality is that the old pets can literally train the young ones for you, and then the young ones can take care of the old ones as they grow older. It's a much better life for both of them.
What a patient buddy. I love how they end up sleeping on him or her
The kittens realized the dog was friendly and made of warmth.
Well fuck me, i didn't plan on seeing the most adorable shit ive ever seen in my life today, yet here we are.
The smile on his/her face when the kittens finally accept him/her....truly amazing. Edit : Haha, calm down internet people. I meant nothing with the use of 'his/her'. I was taught English grammar like that in reference to humans and I just applied it to dogs. As someone mentioned in the comments, should have just said dogs. :) Btw thanks for the 1.2k likes. :)
Smart Mom, she just needed a babysitter and had the dog trained well!
That is one extremely patient puppy. He took his time & waited.
That dog looks so happy. This is adorable
The doggie looks so mortified that they donβt wanna be his friend. Then mommy kitty makes it all better. Such a gentle soul that big puppy has π₯Ήπ₯Ή
Goldies are so kind and tolerant. Look at those eyes! Now forever friends.
I love how once mama came over they were still looking to attack him at 1st like βhey get off my momma.β Then they all just fell in love π€£π€πΎ
