Can confirm, ventilated seats are a godsend, blast aircond front and back. Damn syok after a hot day outside. EVs are definitely going to be more popular so charging infra will also follow suit.

Malaysian here. 3 Year owner of an EV. Spend on average, RM150-200 a month on charging at home. Used to spend around RM400 on petrol on average a month.
Hey Rachel, I felt sorry for your husband so I have googled this to help him, although he has already driven this car for a year . In the BYD Sealion 7, ACC and ICC refer to your vehicle's driver assistance technologies. They are designed to reduce fatigue on long journeys, though they require the driver to stay engaged at all times.ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control): Controls only the speed and distance of the car. You set your desired speed, and the car automatically accelerates or brakes to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front.ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control): Provides both speed/distance control and steering assistance. It combines ACC with Lane Centering Control (LCC) to actively help keep the car in the middle of its lane. Drive safely huh!
In Singapore BYD Sealion 7 > SGD 200k..... In M'sia.... < RM 200k.... BEST choice...

My BYD Seal hit its one month birthday a few days ago. I wanna share that your video of you going up to Antara Genting was one of the factors that made me lock into buying the Seal. I remember you said like the car went from 100% to 80% to go up to Genting, and regenerated like 5%? on the way down. It was just such a casual video but you've done a great job of sharing your experiences with people, and videos like this help a lot. Keep it up!
1. ICC is available in most petrol car too. Even Proton S70 that cost less than RM100k. 2. Again many petrol car have be control through apps. Again Proton S70 can do that too. 3. Proton S70 also have seat ventilation. 4. There are many petrol car that are high too.

Agree with everything in your review We bought our Byd sealion 7 performance in Thailand 5 months ago. It’s great. We charge at home so it is done overnight. The level of quality and comfort of the vehicle is exceptional. We chose the bluey grey colour….. beautiful The only difference between ours and yours is less range on ours, 530 horsepower and the 4 wheel drive 😁
It’s true, once you’ve driven an EV, it’s pretty hard to switch back to ICE. Good sharing based on honest user experience. Relatable.
Mirror is calibration issue. Not motor damage. Widely known in SL7 community. U need to flip the problematic mirror the other way around / mirror facing the front, then press the fold button from the inside. There is youtube video for that also. This issue can appear after software update. Fix is permanent resolve.
Norway is extremely cold but almost all cars are ev, higher than anywhere else in this world.

Road tax in Malaysia is so much cheaper for EV 🤣 RM330 a year. My husband's BYD seal road tax is SGD1.6K a year. 😂

One thing you forgot to mention is that the car is such a nice studio to record your videos in. With the sunroof and quiet cabin, your videos look and sound great! You are right, city driving is something that is the EV's greatest strength. Stop start driving conditions mean that ICE cars become very inefficient and burn petrol while remaining stationary. My friend in China told me that most Chinese EV owners drive their EVs in the cities. Remember to check and clean the air filter for the battery - many owners forget that the battery need cool air and clogged filters reduce air flow to the battery and reduce cooling efficiency. Enjoy your second year as EV owners!

Owning an EV feels complete and like a family. Able to shop and do bulk purchasing for more than two weeks of groceries and store it at home. Able to go out together eat and dine with family and whole group of people. Congratulations!
