When he says its unsafe to drive because id almost bet its one of those type people who keep trash inside their car piled up to the windows. Dealer doesnt want to deal with it because its unsanitary
I had a “friend “ who came in for an oil change on his new truck. He didn’t get back before we closed and came in the night and picked it up. Weeks went by , seen him a few times and asked him to come pay and get his key. Well a couple months went by. It was after 5 and I stopped at the local bar for a couple beers with buddies. I seen his truck out front and asked everyone where he was but no one knew. I went back to the shop , grabbed the key , hid the truck in the underground garage next door in the apartment complex . It sat there for 2 days . When I seen him with a rental he told me his truck got stolen. I went and moved this truck to another location, right in front of a cop car. Left it there another couple days. A week gone by , it was a long weekend. I stopped at a patio and he was there. I had just put the truck back to its original location at the bar . Sat with him having a beer and told him I thought I seen his truck parked where he claimed it was taken from . He asked if window was smashed, golf clubs taken etc.. I said no , he didn’t believe it was his truck. I told him to go and look . He and another guy hoped into the rental . An hour later he came back and said it was his truck . Months went by before he found anything out. His wife came to get the spare keys , I told her when the bill is payed .
if she can't afford the diagnostic fee, she can no way afford to go to court.
Let her sue just file a mechanic's lien when she does.

you're very good at your job Ray, in fact you should counter suing them for refusing to pay you and your shop.
Happens in threes all the time.
