Bob shares the powerful story of the Community of Reconciliation, a racially integrated Christian farming community established in Zimbabwe during the 1980s. Formed in response to violent civil conflict and racial injustice, the community was an experiment in peace and forgiveness between former enemies—black and white Zimbabweans. Bob describes how the vision originated with Jerry Keatley, who, inspired by the teachings of Jesus, challenged the apartheid theology of the time. Over time, Bob became personally involved, inspired by their practical pursuit of justice and reconciliation through shared agrarian life rather than religious spectacle. The story tragically culminates in a massacre of community members, an event that left Bob deeply traumatized. He recounts the emotional impact of seeing the aftermath and how that grief later transformed into action. After years of silence and political suppression, Bob eventually published a book about the community, which was later recognized and validated by Zimbabwe’s national Peace and Reconciliation Commission. The conversation also distinguishes this grassroots movement from exploitative religious influences that flooded Africa, highlighting the purity of intent and lasting spiritual impact of the New Adams Farm. 00:00 Introduction 01:29 Background of the New Adams Farm and peace project in Zimbabwe 04:06 Historical context: tribal conflict, colonization, and revolution 12:01 Genocide and the moral awakening of Jerry Keatley 15:10 Founding the Community of Reconciliation 18:08 Contrasting destructive religious movements in Africa 24:24 Bob’s spiritual journey and discovery of the farm 29:00 Bob’s first visit and emotional connection to the mission 33:56 Kansas City connections and early support structure 36:29 Hidden racism in integrated ministries vs. real unity 40:56 Full integration and the rise of community empowerment 43:27 The massacre and Bob’s firsthand experience of the tragedy 52:15 Understanding influence and political backlash 56:11 Smuggling the story into Zimbabwe and its impact 59:02 Return trip, peace commission, and national validation 1:04:00 The lasting legacy and the healing power of truth-sharing ______________________ Weaponized Religion: From Christian Identity to the NAR: Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735160962 Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGGZX3K ______________________ – Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/branham – Subscribe to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBSpezVG15TVG-lOYMRXuyQ – Visit the website: https://william-branham.org – Follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WilliamBranhamOrg – Follow on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@william.m.branham – Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wmbhr – Buy the books: https://william-branham.org/site/books

Very powerful story Bob. Thanks for sharing it.
This story is why you really need wisdom and you really need to know that it is GOD that is calling you to some dangerous place, and not ideology or some narcissist that really does not care about the safety of others. I have a friend whose wife worked for an org. that intentionally sought out the most dangerous refugee camps to go to. At the time and still today I still think that that ideology is wickedly unwise. I am surprised I have not yet heard of harm coming to a team of theirs. Again it is one thing to do something like that once because God made it clear and to just do it over and over again until your people get to be casualties. Take enough risks over and over and one day it will bite you.
Thank you, Bob. I cannot imagine carrying this all these years. Yes, God wept. 😢
Thank you, John, for taking the time to let Bob Scott share this painful story. Thank you, Bob Scott, for sharing your heart-felt, heart-wrenching historical story, what happened and why. We are so very sorry for the loss of your precious friends. 🙏💔😭 God bless you both for all you are doing to bring the Truth to Light. May lasting change, deliverance, freedom and safety come, for the sake of the Lord's Precious People caught in Sick, Destructive Systems, that steal people's quality of life and actually keep multitudes from true friendship with the Lord who loves them with pure, everlasting love. May the Beloved Saints be free from all the false teaching and charlatans who are in league with the Destroyer. May the Lord give beauty for ashes. May the Lord redeem the time that multitudes have lost. May the Lord's Rescue Mission succeed gloriously. May the Lord fully heal His Precious Ones and set the Spiritually Captives free. Much Love to You and Your Families. 🙏❤🕊
I will never forget where I was when I got the phone call about the martyrdom of the residents. Bob you will remember Herold and Karen Ray. They were at our home for Thanksgiving dinner. Right before we sat down to eat we got the call from my sister JoAnn. She was late arriving because of the call. We were devastated. Thank you Sir for allowing Bob to tell the story !!!
There is so much more to this farm than you know, with respect. You visited twice. I’ve read your book, there are things that happened there that you have no idea of. It was not simple or basic theology at all. It was far more adjacent to the exact movements you denounce. You must not have unpicked its origins. I know the ways that women and children, in particular, were treated there. And that was before innocent babies and children lost their lives who were not protected in the ways they so desperately needed. You never spoke to the 2 survivors. Nor the people who left before you got there. I’d suggest looking at all sides before concluding that the level coercion there and death as a result, was God ordained. You swallowed a very curated image, my friend. It’s not your fault that you did. But I think it’s time you examined this story a little more like you do the rest of your stories. Or at least admit some humility in not knowing the full extent of this place. I know your intentions are good. But the best intentions can be very misplaced. And best intentions miss the underbelly, by not asking the right questions.
What a powerful story & heart wrenching. 💔
Dave and Kathy Marais stayed with my family for 6 months when they first came to the United States. This story has impacted my entire faith and I share it in the classroom every year when reading A Raisin in the Sun and talking about Asagai’s speech about making sacrifices for his country.
God’s ways are past finding out ❤
Very interesting episode and very relevant to me personally as I was a child growing up in Harare when these events occurred and then later in Bulawayo. Bob, you have attempted to compress the history of Zimbabwe into an impossibly small time frame however and inevitably made a pig's ear of it though I appreciate the effort! It's an oversimplification to say that the Ndebele were better fighters. They certainly were more used to warfare and had a more structured and disciplined fighting force but ultimately were not able to subdue the Shona in much of the country. The British under Cecil Rhodes and the Pioneer column with the British South Africa Company were of course quick to spot the tensions between the Shona and Ndebele and exacerbate this in order to weaken both and take control, Classic divide and conquer as they did everywhere else. This all happened close on hundred years before the New Adams Farm events. Listening to this might be tempted to think that Zimbabwe was a completely barbarous place if you hadn't lived there. It's worth pointing out that when the fifth brigrade was wreaking havoc in the contryside, the larger towns and cities were very pleasant and tranquil places to be and though we heard rumours, people in urban areas were largely ob;ivious to what was occurring. Zimbabwe had inherited one of the best road infrastructures in Africa asides from South Africa and or two North African states and had a high standard of living if you were educated. During the 80s in Bulawayo we would leave our doors and windows open at night and had no issues with one of the lowest crime rates in the world. Less than a thousand miles away in Johannesburg at the same time they had probably the worst crime rate in the world. Up until the mid 90s, Zimbabwe had one of the highest adult literacy rates not only in Africa but globally and higher than Western nations withe the exception of perhaps Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Sadly this no longer the case. Mugabe was from the Zezuru Shona tribe of which there several that are not very closely aligned but which speak a similar dialect. He never spoke about his Father who was said to have been largely absent, Malawian and therefore an outsider. The Zezuru were not the largest or dominant tribe and all these factors probably contributed to his insecurities and subsequent madness and brutality. Jphn, sorry but I have to point out that Africa is a continent not a country! I know it was probably just a verbal slip but it is important. Looking forward to hearing more on this.
Bob - wow - I really appreciated this - I as well have PTSD - and understand your journey.
This was a great historical interview, I’ve seen Bob on a few other shows this past year and he always has something different to share. I really appreciate his principle of influence, what an insightful observation, I will keep that awareness in my mind and share it with others. Bob, your life has obviously impacted and influenced many and I feel like your motivation is purely from wanting God’s love and word to be experienced and implemented throughout the world. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
It is a very tragic and sad and fearful and just a bitter, painful piece of historical insight. At least it's there recorded, or let's say, documented and not lost. Thanks, John and Bob, for the presentation, God bless 👍 👏 ✝️🕎✡️🇮🇱🙏❤️
I'm so sorry you and all these people went through this experience! It makes sense that you have PTSD.
Thank you John and Bob!
That's so great that all those good things came from this tragedy.
your pie story is exactly right. I cannot give details, but ...... its right.
A heartbreaking story, but one of those parts of history that i believe need to be documented and remembered, so we dont keep repeating history. Bob, i am absolutely fascinated that you visited Amish people and your perspective on the way they deal with conflict. I woukd agree they isolate themselves from it in mainstream society, and while they abstain from physical violence, physiological conflict is very real. I have a burning question...which Amish community did you visit?
Thank you both for sharing this story. It’s encouraging and comforting when we see the hand of God move; even despite our misgivings and sinful motivations. I helped with “clean up” after Desert Storm (1991 Gulf War) and an interesting irony happened in Saudi Arabia. Many soldiers who were sent there (from all over the world) brought Bibles with them. And the Saudi military people asked us for two things. One was current events magazines/ newspapers and the other was Bibles! It’s estimated that allied forces left 500,000 Bibles in Saudi Arabia because of Desert Storm; and this is now the reason Saudi rulers will not allow foreign troops in their country again. (But of course, God knows the future; which means that could change! Either way, Scripture says that Christ was sent for the healing of the nations. Amen!
"We don't want to hear about people dying"?????? How about wanting to hear the truth?
