A new report by the UN’s World Meteorological Organization (WMO) suggests the climate crisis could escalate in the next five years – which could include the warmest year on record. Lead author of the report, Leon Hermanson, says: “There is an El Niño predicted for the end of 2026, which increases the chances of the following year, 2027, being the next record-breaking year.” DW’s Ben Fajzullin speaks to Stanford University climate scientist, Rob Jackson – author of the book “Into the Clear Blue Sky.” They break down the data, talk about the risks of global warming and discuss solutions. i already feel the effects here in SE asia, i live in a high elevation area so it's always been naturally cooler all year round but now the heat hits different, it feels like it burns to the skin even through clothing. and if it gets worse in the coming months is scary. we're literally cooked.

Here in Los Angeles it is unseasonably cold. I've noticed a shift in seasonS: summer weather doesn't fully arrive until mid August and stays hot until late Oct/Nov.

I liked the questions: "...So who's at fault? Who's holding us back when it comes to methane?", because we (the world effort) have not been successful in methane reduction. Great work, thank you.

If there is a non-predatory advanced 👽 alien species or artificial intelligence out there, this is my message 🙏🏻: · Please don’t let the predatory human species spread throughout this universe 🌎. Use civilized methods. · Consider a genomics program to remove the predatory instincts from the human gene pool 🧬⚗🧬 while keeping the good phenotypes. Reasons: · We are in the Middle of a Sixth Mass Extinction due to human activity. · Endless armed conflicts. Probable nuclear war. · Billions of animals are killed every year. · Climate change could trigger multiple climate tipping points. · Social predators ruling up and down all the ranks of human societies. · Shocking wealth inequality.

i'm "a renter" in Denmark but in the last 6 years i rebuild my tiny garden from grass/dirt to a tiny food forest, refining i a little every year to make it easy for me to grow some food with little work when i get older.. ("non profit" row-house)

As long as the billionaires run things, nothing will be done about the climate. We need to overthrow the oligarchs.
