I have a six year old, and I’ve talked to him like this since he was a baby. 🤣 It’s genuinely made him so fucking funny. Diabolical. Recommend, ten out of ten times.
As a preschool teacher…talking to them like they’re 40 makes them way funnier than other kids that age
I talk to my son like this. I’ve heard it can help with brain growth.
I asked my 4 year old nephew how much he thinks the rise of generative AI will affect the amount of misinformation surrounding the 2028 presidential election and he threw his paw patrol toy at me
i study linguistics at university and can vouch for the fact that talking to children as you would adults (albeit with age-appropriate vocab) is hugely beneficial for their language development!
Average conversation between me and my 6 year old son 😂😂😂 he's confused but happy to be included 😅
It makes the kids smarter and funnier
i don't know how the hell to talk to kids so ima use this one😂
My eight year old loves to ask people " how are you doing?" Which I think is a pretty grown up greeting 😂❤
Highlight of my day worming as a cashier was asking a little kid trying to buy a lollipop or something for photo id.
Kids actually live it because they feel important and included ❤
I talk to my niece like this, my family thinks it’s hilarious and weird lol but she calls me her best friend so I think im winning in life?? 😂

Depends on the 7 year old…. Cuz some got ears and it gets real loud at home when the news comes on lol
i used to teach preschool & there was one kid who never napped & at the end of naptime another kid was crying & he was like “what’s wrong with her” & i just went “idk dude”
I have a little sister who was a later comer if you will and we were all already in middle/highschool as she grew up. As a result het elementary teacher came to our parents in concern because she very much talked like an older teenager 💀
As someone doing childcare for 15 years, I have always talked to kids as I would any person (still kindly and no cursing) and have always gotten great results in development and close bonds because of it. Kids love to be treated as an equal!
my parents did this to me so by the time i was like 10 i would go into therapy offices and be like lets talk about the impressionistic art movement and flabbergast them
I have done this FOREVER!!! kids in fact do love it. it is the best. So much fun.
