This episode is even better after watching the "behind the scenes" episode.

What's interesting coming back to these episodes so many years later it seeing just how ahead of its time it is. Nowadays there is so much adventure and survival content on YouTube shot in a similar solo format. Nice to see really

Dude, this show literally helped me survive middle school. It was such an awful time in my life but of the few good things I remember, coming home and watching this when I got home from school was a big one. I'm so happy all the episodes are on here. Les Stroud is such a cool guy. My favorite moments on the show are when he finally got to enjoy something good just cuz the rest of the episode is him suffering lol.

The resilience of animals to adapt to live in these conditions is amazing.

I taught some of the Wilderness Survival merit badge classes in Boy Scouts 15+ years ago. This guy was the reason I got into it. ❤

This show brings me back to a much simpler time. If you see this Les - I am forever grateful for the content you've released over all these years. Not only have I learned so much, but it brings me comfort during my bad days. Can't tell you how many times I've watched this series over the years...

I survived in a blistering hot vehicle for over 3 years disabled and homeless, battling daily heatstroke, injury, starvation and danger. Your shared experiences likely contributed to my continued existence

He has to walk these areas twice to film the episode. It's insane how much Les did for this show and how hard he worked to make content that is watchable.

You gotta realize Les did this while being sick. Huge props to him

I watched ALL the episodes originally....JUST EXCELLENT!!! Les Stroud was out in front of all the subsequent bushman, survival guys. I'm so glad he's on YouTube.
