China RELEASED A MILLION RABBITS INTO THE DESERT — What Happened Next SHOCKED THE WORLD

China RELEASED A MILLION RABBITS INTO THE DESERT — What Happened Next SHOCKED THE WORLD In a world where deserts are expanding faster than forests can grow, one nation dared to do what sounded impossible: China Reclaiming Desert. In the heart of northern China lies the once-barren Kubuqi Desert — a vast ocean of sand stretching over 7,000 square miles, where nothing but wind and death reigned. For decades, it devoured villages, swallowed roads, and pushed entire communities to the brink. But against all odds, China Reclaiming Desert became not just a slogan, but a living miracle. The Chinese government, scientists, and local farmers joined forces under a breathtaking vision — to turn the desert green again using the power of Natural Engineering, innovation, and sheer human will. What followed would go down in history as one of the most extraordinary examples of Nature-Based Solutions ever attempted. It began with an idea so strange that even experts laughed — releasing over a million rabbits into the sands. Why rabbits? Because they eat invasive weeds, fertilize the soil, and create microhabitats that help plants take root. Over time, with wind-blocking fences, solar irrigation systems, and millions of newly planted trees, the land began to heal. The ecosystem that once seemed dead started breathing again — rivers returned, grasslands spread, and the air became cooler and cleaner. This transformation, led by a coalition of visionaries, proved that China Desert Reclamation was more than an environmental project — it was a blueprint for the planet’s future. Today, what was once a lifeless wasteland now produces medicinal herbs, solar energy, and even tourism opportunities. It’s a living laboratory of Ecosystem Recovery, admired by scientists from the United Nations and showcased in global reports on sustainability. If this story feels like something out of a Discovery Channel Documentary, that’s because it is — a true-to-life epic where humans rewrite the fate of nature itself. It’s the kind of transformation you’d expect to see in a Discovery Documentary, broadcast across Discovery World, under the watchful eye of Channel Discovery, and now shared with millions through Simple Discovery 24. So join us as we uncover the unbelievable story of resilience, innovation, and survival — the saga of how one nation, through vision and courage, proved that even a desert can bloom again. WOW! A humble teacher became a HERO, GREEN technologist, and ARTIST, all at once. Okay...NOT INSTANTLY, but working smartly, over a stretch of time...WELL invested! The moniker "DESERT KING" is richly deserved! This shows: it's NOT about MONEY; it's about creative ingenuity, and then working SMARTLY...not merely HARD. Hats off to the DESERT KING!

Ai garbage thinks that rabbits can have more than twice as many litters per year than their gestation period physically allows. That calls into question everything else in this video

Wow, some good news for life on Earth! Thanks for your vision, Wang, and your due diligence. Hopefully, this initiative can be repeated elsewhere - and/or everywhere that deserts are spreading...

... this is interesting, I am a bit concerned that the only thing I already knew about - the effort pushing back on desertification in Africa, was not represented well here. They've used a different system entirely. Makes me wonder what else is wrong in this video
