Thank you for the great content!
This was exactly what I needed, thanks!
A great video. I just moved to West Texas. A whole new world for me! Very informative, thanks.
🎉I just started watching junkyard fox, this is awesome😮
Great video and I like how you tell people to respect the natural plants and not destroy them. Cattails when they are long and ripe are used to make mats here in Brazil, it is very easy to make them (with yucca cordage of course) and they are comfortable to sleep on.
I live in Desert Hot Springs. We have every one of the plants you show. Thank you.
I always use to think, as a child, when I seen the buffalo gourd that it was snake food for some reason ?? 😅😂..!!
Here in SW Texas I'll stop off the road if I see some yucca flowers in full bloom! They are so delicious around here (and thankfully numerous!) Great info.
The birds LOVE tunas!! So do I 😊. I go to the Catholic Church food pantry, and people bring them in sometimes. I also love nopalitos. Im growing some on pots. Mesquite seed pods make AWESOME flour for biscuits. Has a sweet taste.
Much appreciated. Lots of useful information in this.
I’m so glad I found your amazing channel!! Thank you for your teaching, I used to use jarales in Zacatecas to clean my body while swimming and playing in the rivers with my primos
New Mexico here, I remember as a kid in Texas about 65 years ago eating the mesquite pods. Brings back memories. Thanks! Great info. Superb delivery!! SUBSCRIBED
I’ve lived in the desert for 19 yrs. now and I love it. Thanks for the knowledge of the plants.
This was awesome to watch; no plants are new to me, but it still ends up working because you learn new uses for familiar plants. For example, never considered a nopale as an emergency boiling container but that is very smart. Kind of a great demonstration of desert survival anyway, a guide at Mesa Verde once said to me best: You have Pinon, Yucca, and prickly pear all growing next to eachother. That's winter food, spring food, autumn food, clothing, sewing and surgical needles, insulation and bedding, all from three plants. If you grow summer/winter squash, corn, and beans on top of that it's quite survivable.
Good morning James thank you for your hard work and sharing this knowledge, have a great weekend! ❤
I've lived in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts all my life. I really enjoyed your video and learned a little. Thank you Sir.
I live in the Mojave Desert and a large number of plants you had are also here. Learned much.
Wonderful!! I just love the desert...every plant. Every creature. The sky! The smell! Everything! Thankyou....
Great timing and cadence. A lot of good info with little fluff. Much like the environment. I love it.
Thanks for posting this video. you're right There's not enough information out there about desert
