Prehistoric Earth: What It Looked Like 600 to 66 Million Years Ago @wufoearth

Prehistoric Earth: What It Looked Like 600 to 66 Million Years Ago | Science Documentary 600 million years ago, Prehistoric Earth was a deadly world covered by toxic skies, unstable oceans, and barren land without trees or animals. Survival was nearly impossible, yet life continued to evolve through unimaginable disasters and mass extinctions. This documentary explores how Prehistoric Earth transformed across millions of years, from primitive oceans to the age of dinosaurs. Discover the terrifying beauty of Prehistoric Earth and the extreme events that shaped the planet we live on today. Welcome to WUFO, your science documentaries channel dedicated to both education and entertainment. WUFO explores the outer reaches of space, the craziness of astrophysics, the possibilities of sci-fi, and anything else you can think of beyond Planet Earth. Funniest thing, no one was here. So no one knows. One day, something else will find our bones, and will be trying to figure out what we looked like based on that! 😅

Imagine how fast evolution would be if every creature had freshly ground coffee 🤔

This may shock you but since time began there has been no such think as “a million years.” Most people do not want to believe this. Even if it’s true. Ask yourself three questions. 1- WHO TAUGHT YOU THAT? 2- WHERE DID THEY LEARN IT FROM? 3 (the big one!) …. WHAT REASON WOULD THERE BE FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE THAT UP? Why do you believe in millions/billions of years? Because they teach it in … School Movies The internet Books. Who would benefit from the lie? Well, first, the concept began in the late 1700s England. Egyptians Greeks Romans never mentioned it. I know. “But they didn’t have the science.” Do you? Or do you have the science book? Clue. WHAT SCIENCE/THEORY WOULD COMPLETELY FALL APART WITHOUT MILLIONS/ BILLIONS OF YEARS? There ya go!

They talk about millions of years for changes yet it only took the American government 250 years to just about ruin everything 😢

How did the largest dinosaurs breed?

None. I'd get Eaten

I GUESS THE ONLY PART I HAVE TROUBLE WITH IS THAT NO LARGE DINASOUR COULD LIVE IN TODAYS GRAVITY. SO WAS THE GRAVITY LESS BACK THEN AND BY HOW MUCH? Short answer: No — Earth’s gravity was not lower in the age of dinosaurs. And the amount it could have changed is tiny — far too small to explain dinosaur size. Let me give you the clear, physics‑based explanation you’ve been looking for. 🦕 1. Gravity has been essentially the same for the last 500 million years Earth’s surface gravity depends on: Earth’s mass Earth’s radius Neither has changed enough to matter. Geophysicists can calculate ancient gravity from: fossilized lava flow densities mineral crystal alignment Earth’s moment of inertia orbital mechanics paleomagnetic data All of these converge on the same result: 👉 Gravity 100–200 million years ago was within ±1–2% of today’s value. That is not enough to affect whether a giant animal could stand or breathe. 🦕 2. So how did giant dinosaurs function in today’s gravity? This is the part people struggle with — but the biology is solid. A. Sauropods had radically different body engineering Pneumatic (air‑filled) bones like birds — up to 60% air Huge lungs with air sacs (bird-style flow‑through breathing) Columnar legs like pillars, not bent like mammals Slow, energy-efficient movement Massive digestive systems that didn’t require chewing They were not scaled-up elephants — they were engineered completely differently. B. Their necks were mostly air A 30‑foot sauropod neck weighed about the same as a giraffe’s neck because: vertebrae were hollow supported by air sacs counterbalanced by tendons This is why they could reach such insane sizes. 🦕 3. Why the “gravity was lower” idea feels intuitive Because if you scale up a mammal (like an elephant), it collapses under its own weight. But dinosaurs were not built like mammals. They were built like giant birds with: lightweight skeletons air sacs different muscle distribution different posture different metabolism So the intuition is understandable — but the physics and biology don’t support lower gravity. 🦕 4. Could gravity have been lower by a meaningful amount? To make sauropods “easy” in lower gravity, you’d need something like: ❌ 0.7 g (30% less gravity) But that would require Earth to lose one-third of its mass or expand by 50% in radius. Both are physically impossible and contradicted by: orbital mechanics geology paleomagnetism fossil trackways atmospheric pressure data Earth simply never changed that much. 🦕 5. The real reason dinosaurs got so big The scientific consensus: ✔ High oxygen levels (up to 30–35%) ✔ Warm global climate ✔ No ice caps ✔ Abundant vegetation ✔ Efficient bird-like lungs ✔ Hollow bones ✔ Slow metabolism in giant species ✔ No large mammalian competitors Gravity didn’t need to change — the biology and environment did the work. 🟦 Bottom line Dinosaurs did not need lower gravity. Earth’s gravity was essentially the same as today. Their size came from unique biology, not planetary physics. If you want, I can also explain: why insects were bigger in the Carboniferous how sauropod hearts pumped blood up those long necks how we know Earth’s mass hasn’t changed why mammals never reached sauropod size Just tell me what direction you want to go.

Well done! My thought is...we can't be the only planet this happened to, only "billions and billions" of years later or earlier.

You don't know what you're talking about: no science nor scientist lived "600,000,000 years ago, taking pictures, jotting down notes, making observations, performing experiments. For all you know, the world is 10,000 years old and flooded during Noah's time, which is why dinosaur graveyards, of many different species, are all buried together in the same place, some while still fighting and in the process of giving birth.
