Watching those crowned lemurs carefully navigate the rocky cliffs really gave me a new appreciation for how adaptable they are. We usually think of lemurs as tree-dwelling animals, so seeing them climb down a 30-meter limestone drop was incredible. What struck me most was that they weren't doing it for adventure—they were risking the journey just to reach food and shelter. The intense heat and exposure made every step seem dangerous even before the threat of a fossa appeared. It’s amazing how survival on Madagascar requires so much skill and courage from such small animals. Did anyone else find themselves holding their breath during the cliff descent?
