I think it’s a play on a few of the retro console controllers.
on the fightstick its good to have a wired option most tournaments will NOT let you use bluetooth devices due to the ammount of controllers in an area with so many ps5s going off it can and has caused issues before.

Still got my PlayStation 3d tv and my daughter is now using it now with a ps vita tv and a ps4 its still going strong.
