Real slick Jay stopping your run down of the card before the memory. Not saying that the memory is ddr6 not 7. This is junk and at between 550 and low 600s. If you are doing a graphic card upgrade, sadly the best is looking for a RTX 5070 ti 16gb ddr7 at about $870. I know, it hurt my pocket book badly, but if you are doing ai and 1440 or some 4k gaming, this card is the best for the money and things are going to get worse.
I wasn't surprised they'd do this. They did this exact thing last gpu generation with the 7900gre if I remember correctly

Looking at the benchmarks it seems like i already have 9070GRE at home , it's called a 7800xt and it even comes with 16gb of vram and would get fsr4 next month. Oh and it was 375 used with 2 years of warranty left.

nice food for thought, maybe the future is going to make ram usage more efficient quicker since everything relies on it and that general public and devs all have access to ai now and a stock 9070xt or non xt should be sufficient for most consumer grade use cases that require a pc monitor. Most people in general still stream at 1080p because data is expensive etc so unless there is like a drastic shift in how we view the ui operating systems like holographic simulations or effortless 3d that a group of people can use to watch the game.. Like a 2d screen does now

for my 9070XT, i've noticed i get higher clocks by undervolting by -75, and then running a -350 clock speed. no idea why. and its stable and runnable for about 8 hours of gaming before a crash.
I like that jay has taken his guitar to the next level and is recording his own audio for the graphs.

it might have to do with the size of the card and the power requirements. that third power port and just general size of the 9070XT were what surprised me. never thought my huge case would struggle so much.

Seeing my 3070ti on there made me realize how much I'm missing. lol I've been looking at the 9070xt and 5070ti lately for a new build and may end up going full AMD for the first time since 2010. The 9070xt and 9800x3d seems like a pretty solid combo that should last several years.
Walmarts are still carrying 5070s for $600. I just noticed that the other day. I already have a 5070 but the 9070 was the other option i was weighing. Glad i went 5070 and glad I did it when it was still $550.
