As a player I try not to show any disrespect even though the calls they make are obvious, because they are trying to umpire the game and honestly its a lot harder then people think. Think about these MLB umps after going home fron a game feeling very bad about themselves because the whole stadium was booing and getting angry, managing the whole game is most certainly a rough task, so remember that.

As an umpire, i second all of these. It's so much fun to be assigned to a game where the coaches arent going to rip my head off if i make a call that goes against their team. At that point, i can just make calls without the additional irritation of the supposed adults in the room behaving worse than the kids theyre coaching. The entire process goes by so much smoother when coaches actually practice the good sportsmanship they're tasked with teaching to the players.

As a 13 year old umpire I appreciate this video! Most people don't understand our situation and the stress we are in. The end of the short wraps up a great wish that all umpires want people to know.
