This has been happening for years

As an Irish fan ,we have certainly been done by forward passes throughout the years in France, if anyone disagrees I'll send you many examples

Feel like this has been an issue and discussed about France since the invention of a TMO.

French hosted the World Cup due to corruption and under the table payments....and the TV replay issue is not new.....it's been an issue for years

As a Saffa I can not agree more. The French tv director thing is completely ridiculous. It’s blatant cheating as far as I am concerned. I am glad Goode called it out. It’s frustrating when you watch something at home and the commentators pretend like nothing happened. If you don’t like the criticism then fix the problem

Been this way in France forever. If there is a decision which could go against their team, there's no footage. If the ref misses a foul play incident against their team, it's on a loop on the big screen until the TMO intervenes.

Whatever you think of Andy Goode and I know some people have issues with him he has told the truth, this has been going on for many years I can remember many incidents involving different countries teams playing in France and time after time they have been unable or unwilling to provide the pictures asked for and this only happens when the French team may have broken the laws of the game. This isn't about Saturday's game this is about a level playing field for all. I know many people thought he was too negative when commenting throughout the game, maybe, however when you are aware that the people who are responsible for the feed to the officials are not providing the correct feed and it has the potential to change the result of a game of this importance I think you have a duty to make people who are unaware of this fact, aware of this fact. Ps World rugby made sure that the feed for the 2023 world cup in France was controlled by an independent company (not French) as it should be for all competitions both club and international.

I noticed this when France played South Africa in 2022 and they didn't show any replays particularly of French infringements

Why just the French? I saw Contepomi talk about Matera needing a HIA last year when his mouthguard pinged due to head contact with Itoje and no TV director showed anything. Do other pundits then say "English TV directors"? No.

What is really annoying about this situation, is how much Goode and the other commentators went on about it. For 60 minutes all they did was complain. If they’d just of focused on the game, would have been a much, much better commentary.

If you can’t beat the French team just say they cheating at least it is easier for you.

So this is now shoe on the other foot after what happened to Ethan Hooker... the vitriol towards the players, refs and overseers will continue and get worse.

Everybody knows about this , to the point its become a joke . You have to have a laugh about it .

My 15 year old plays rugby - even he knows when we play away in France (or Ireland) the TV replay situation is obviously different. To the benefit of the home nation. To those of us who are 'wiser' we have become accustomed to it. We shouldn't have. I hope this raises the issue and it gets resolved.

Come on guys, it happens as often when a french team plays against an irish or english team. Andy Goode talks about things he doesn’t' know. There are almost forty cameras around the field, 6 to 8 screens, and the TMO can watch any of the footage as long as he'is not satisfied. What you see on TV or on the big screen in the stadium is not even 10% of what the TMO has access to...
