You've reached the end
At least you tried to help
if uses a cable throttle it most likely is extremely stretched
His throttle cable was likely snagged. Had the same issue with my old sv650.
You can't fix everything quickly, unfortunately. But at least you tried 😃
pinging off limiter for a few seconds isn’t too bad for it if you see how much abuse those japanese bikes can take
You had me at starting it with a screw driver 😂
Saying you have to start it with a screwdriver seems sketchy
First ride of the season this year I was off riding and was getting off the highway and I went to downshift and then there was nothing there I have a 1990 sportster 1200 and the shift linkage to make it forward controls the bolt fell out and I was stuck until my dad could come with a new bolt and there was plenty of people and motorcyclists that passed but nobody stopped
Love your bike wish to get one 😊
I mean you didn’t make it worse, that would have happened the next time anyone started it, even if it was you, the owner or a mechanic
At least you guys stopped to assist him. Last summer, I was out for a ride on my 12-speed bicycle when the rear wheel seized up on me. Not having any tools and not having phone numbers of my neighbors on my road, I had to start walking the bike back home, holding the back wheel off the road to roll it on my front wheel. I can't get over how many people drove past me without even slowing down to check on me in the miles I had to walk that thing.
Dude is on a 2nd gen SV. These bikes are super simple. Probably something as simple as his throttle cable being hung up or something of that nature.
Snapped return throttle cable. Take it off, throw it in the bin.
He's got company, is what's important. Luckily it was you.
Gorgeous bike
It's the accelerator cable , that needs fixing
That's an SV650, I guarantee he's never serviced his throttle bodies and one of them got stuck open
Sounds like it has either something to do with the throttle or the computer somewhere.
It’s just they put too much oil
Unless you touched it you arent accountable for anything bro bet you the throttle is catching the bar or some dumb shit 😂
