Everybody uses wd as chain lube it has silicone which is a LUBRICANT jackahh

WD40 isn't ideal but it can revive an old chain. Use proper lube but if you're in a pinch then use WD40

All these guys that go through at least 3 chains a year using thrice blessed Teflon enhanced wax, while my road bike has the same chain it did in 2019 with a few blasts of WD40 a year.

I clean with B12 Chemtool, back pedal to dry, then put WD40 in a dip cup and roll backwards slowly, roll thru a grease rag, then roll thru Pennzoil 5W-20, then grease rag everything, had the same $1,000 mountain bike since 2005, can handle an 80 ft angled drop with Rhino Wheels, but same chain with 7500 plus miles, not factory chain, $130.00 race chain when purchased, rough grip street tires with 20,000 tread life, grease all bearings at recent bike shop with new cables and brakes, they just don't make new bikes like the old one's, but a 27 in E bike for $2799 looked good.
