Dang that was a magical 3rd set. Score jump from 0-2 to suddenly 5-4 😅 . Anyways thanks WTA, appreciate the longer videos. We dont mind it if you stretch it to 8 minutes 😊 congratulations to Alex, hard fought win!
eala and sonmez are my favorite players <3
Congrats Alex
I like the smile of Magda upon shaking hands with Eala right after the game. She's a good sport, she handles losing.
Congrats, Alex! Grabeng kaba ulit.
CONGRATULATIONS EALA!!!! She did really well especially on the first set. This I think is the first time Eala won in the WTA HIGHLIGHTS as well!!! Congratulations!

Congratulations Alex.🎉🎉🎉❤.Hard fought win❤
Eala's lefty heavy topspin movement especially on clay reminds me so much of Nadal's 👍👍
The good thing is Eala has barely lost to lower-ranked opponents lately/this year. I think it's a great progress. Good for her 🩵
Congratulations Alex! ❤
congrats Eala 🎉
This truly feels like a defining moment in Philippine tennis history. 🇵🇭🎾 Seeing Alex Eala compete on a prestigious stage like the WTA tournament in Rome is such a proud moment for Filipinos around the world. Tennis has never really been one of the biggest sports in the Philippines compared to basketball or boxing. Basketball became deeply rooted in Filipino culture because it’s more accessible — you can play it almost anywhere, even in small streets or barangays, and it has always received much bigger attention, funding, media coverage, and community support. Tennis, on the other hand, has often been seen as less accessible because of the cost of courts, equipment, training, and limited grassroots programs. That’s why moments like this feel even more special. As a Filipino who used to play tennis when I was younger and who grew up watching tennis on TV since the 2000s era, this honestly feels surreal to witness. For the first time in my life, I’m seeing a well-known Filipino sports newscaster like Dyan Castillejo, someone many of us grew up seeing cover Manny Pacquiao’s legendary fights, now watching and covering a Filipina tennis player live in a massive tournament venue in Rome, Italy. That alone says so much about how far Philippine tennis has come. Seeing Alex Eala proudly represent our country on this level is inspiring not only for tennis fans, but for young Filipino athletes who dream of competing on the world stage someday. This is bigger than just one match. This is history, representation, and inspiration all happening in real time. Proud Filipino here. 🇵🇭❤️
Good Wednesday morning everyone❣️🤗🥰
alex was very patient on that last point! congrats!
Looks like Eala has been cooking up something at the Rafa Academy...
Was at the edge of my seat specially in the third set when the score got to 4-4. It could have gone either way but thanks God and it went Eala's way.... Frech though fought till the very end. A very entertaining match indeed.
EALA must come to the net often, short balls, finished the point early, avoid long rallies, avoid staying at the back of the court. her serve is okay (monica seles, justine henin, australian world number 1 ashleigh barty etc. all small, petite, little ladies but managed to become world number 1 with weak serve.
