via and a cat is a duo we all needed to see
omg i love how you didn't mind adopting an older cat π₯Ί yesssss all cats deserve to be loved and have a home, this just warmed my heart π₯Ίπ
a quick little recommendation for your new cat: get flat bowls (more like plates) bcs eating from deep bowls can hurt their whiskers. please keep water and food separate since many cats don't drink enough water and drink even less if its right next to their food. Also getting a stainless steel litter box will make their waste less smelly! Also cats love elevated places where they can sleep or just look around so a larger (and taller) cat tree would be perfect and make for more entertainment for the cat since she already lives alone :))
You don't need to keep the litter box by the food! They usually don't like them being close together. She seems very brave and well tempered. You'll just have to find a way to plug up any areas you don't want her squeezing into ^^;
OMG STOP UR CAT IS LITERALLY ADORABLE
a little tip for your new cat: a lot of cats dislike to have their litterbox too close to their food, so I would recommend putting them far apart or in different rooms! :)
15:03 hi via I just wanna let you know that cats cant eat comfortably in deep bowls since their whiskers bend when they put their heads in, so I recommend a more low bowl β€οΈβπ©Ή
I'm so touched by your affection to cat, and how much you take care of her, it's just too cute π₯Ήπ«Ά
as a girlie who also got my kitty from a cat cafe, theyβll be hesitant at first but slowly theyβll open up. i used beat myself up because i thought my kitty hated me, iβm an over thinker, but truly they just want to know their new surroundings. so donβt be too hard on yourself. time is key! love that youβre giving her space and iβm sure shes happy about it too! another stunning video!
Yay! Via got into the cat people community, welcome. Literally my cat is watching this beside me she told she's glad too.
yes yes! adopt older cats!! they also deserve love!
Universe truly loves me, the second I finished watching the latest video of my other favorite youtuber I got a notification of Via's new upload, i'm the happiest right now.
my grandpa died a week ago and seeing you posting videos randomly makes my heart warm be well Via and thank you
I see a lot of comments about the litter boxes next to the food as a no no. Since it was her first day, having them next to each other so she could smell them doesnβt really seem like too big of deal. I would move it after a while so that they can be separated like the other comments say. Shallow bowls have gotten my scarred one to eat better. Some great advise in here :) welcome to the cat community lol from a 5 cat household
I'm so glad you got a cat Viaaaβ€ Also um cats don't like it when the litter box is placed close to the food area. They won't use the litter box then. I suggest keeping the litter box in a different room or bathroom and the food in the hall itself.
love your cat!! Continue to give her treats because Iβm pretty sure in certain animals if you keep hand feeding them food or treats, you can build up their trust and theyβll start to be around you more!!!
Thatβs so exciting to hear youβre fostering! Itβs going to be a wonderful experience for both you and the cat. I hope itβs a truly rewarding one for both of you. Here are a few tips that might come in handy: - Always keep small items like hair ties, Q-tips, rubber bands, and anything else that could be a choking hazard out of reach. Cats can be curious and might accidentally swallow them. - If youβre planning to get plants or flowers, make sure theyβre cat-friendly. Some plants and flowers can be toxic to cats. - Whisker-friendly bowls are a good idea, as small bowls can irritate their whiskers. - Since the cat is older, itβs best to stick to regular feeding times to avoid overeating. Cats can be bored and overeat when they have free access to food. - I like to add some water to their wet food. Cats donβt always drink enough water, so this can help them stay hydrated. As long as the cat has plenty of love, a balanced diet, toys, and a comfortable place to sleep, theyβll be happy. All the comments youβve received are great, and thereβs a lot to learn, but once you get the hang of it, everything else will be a breeze! Iβm so glad the cat found such a wonderful owner, and Iβm sure youβll have a great time with them. Love, love, love this for both of you! β€β€
Something I really admire about you is that youβre so comfortable going to restaurants alone. I live in a student town that also has a bunch of rich retired people so the restaurants and cafes are always packed with people who go in groups. It just makes me nervous to go myself.
I flew hereπ
