my mom, who’s been an interior designer for 30 years, says “she’s done a great job with her space and the items she has!!” and she really liked how you utilized that “dead” corner where the cat tree is :-) what a gorgeous apartment 🥹 my mom also suggests maybe a tapestry over your bed? you have so many gallery walls, that a singular fabric tapestry could be a nice change :D

I'm 31 and I still have so much decor that one would consider not very grown up. No rules about having a certain type of decor style at a certain age. Decorate the way that makes you happy and brings joy to your space. It's your terrarium 😊

I didn't realize that Kayla is thirteen! She is so energetic and adventurous that I thought she was a cat child! I hope she lives many more years! 🐈I also have a thirteen year old boy called Holden, and he is also a character and so so fun! ❤Cats are the bestest fluff balls! 💗
i would actually focus on the bedroom first whenever you get back! even though you dont spend a lot of waking time in there, you’re ideally spending at least a third of your day in there sleeping 😅 a very important room to prioritize so you maximize your rest hours & feel the most comfortable when you’re in it! if you can paint the ceilings, something that might make the room feel a little less tall and more cozy would be painting the ceiling a deep, dark hue that comes down the walls as well, maybe about 8 inches? some more floating bookshelves on that wall could help as well, but obviously accessing those books might be a little annoying so maybe another gallery wall or a mural of some kind c: absolutely love your apartment, thanks for sharing it with us <3
Hi Linh! Just wanted to let you know that pothos are actually toxic to cats, but if you keep them where Kayla can’t get to them it should be fine! I have a kitty too and use ASPCA to check plants before I buy them, it’s a great resource!

When I turned 23 I got a mortgage and bought a flat, then at 30 I upgraded to a house. By 40 I had sold EVERYTHING and bought a boat. The message is you never really become an adult, you just have to keep moving forward ! 😊
