The 'TABI' in One Wish Willow is an acronym for 'That's A Bad Idea,' inspired by Curry Barker's YouTube channel.

and girsl will still choose the bear
I love the implication that if Bear would've worded it like a normal human "i wish nikki would fall in love with me" or "i wish Nikki would love me back" and not "I WISH NIKKI LOVED ME MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD" because that last option made it to where the wish had to overcompensate to make sure that nobody on earth could ever possibly love him more than the entity or whatever. All the stuff it does is something nobody else in the whole world would think to do, and it's "for love" so by default she loves him more than anyone in the world. Basically the wish didn't interpret it as "nikki dosent love anyone in world more than me" instead it was "nobody in the world loves me as much as nikki" which are two VERY different things apparently
How did Nikki find Bear and Sarah in the park? She either stealthy followed Barry or she woke up and somehow smelt her way to him
the poem about hansel and gretel also indicates how nikki only saw bear as a brother and this curse twisted her feelings towards him like an incestuous relationship
When his cat died by ingesting the pills on the floor, it was foreshadowing his suicide attempt with the oxy’s
Another detail I noticed is that when Bear and "Nikki" are doing the deed, she has a completely neutral expression on her face. Almost as if any semblance of humanity has been stripped away from her.
I like to think the cat sandwich was more of an effect of the wish. She became so obssessed with bear that even his love/grief shown towards sandy was enough to drive her crazy that she killed the cat and fed it to him. Even with Sarah she killed her and blamed him that this was all his fault and forced her hand.
i dont understand the part where the phone guy puts nikki on the phone, probably the real one, how?
Here's something I havent really seen covered... but has anyone ever actually been like this, when super in love with someone? Dont get me wrong, I have been what some May refer to as "Psychotically Deep" for someone, though I was still nowhere even remotely close to behaving like her. My point being, that its Possibly because Im a relatively sane person who was momentarily not... as sane. I mean, it's not as though she got the moniker "Freaky Nikki" for no reason. There had to be some reason why Ian avoided committing to her for two years, or why she seemed single for so long, as nobody ever said anything about ex boyfriends of hers. Im inclined to think that with the wish turning Nikki into someone who could love Bear "More than anyone else in the world", it probably amplified something that was already there. Something she'd prefer to hide. So what if Obsessed Nikki, IS the "real one". Who Nikki would actually be without wearing the mask of social convention? However, seeing her through the eyes of Bear, his pedestalizing her made him blind to any indication of this? Or thought they were charming quirks. Which could be why Ian was so... "Dude, REALLY?" With Bear in the beginning, as he was rehearsing his declaration speech. As if he couldnt believe Bear couldnt see how "whatever it is" that's wrong with Nikki. Maybe telling him to call her Freaky Nikki was actually to do him a favor.
Honestly, I always thought that the only reason the guy told Bear that his wish would undo when he died, is because once Dead, there's nobody for Nikki to love, anymore. Otherwise, I wouldnt think the wishes went away when you die.
I had a theory that since you have to break the Willow in half, the wish only works half of the time. The reason I think this is because when Bear searches up the reviews, about half of then say the wish works, and half of them say it doesn't. It would be very lucky that all 3 wishes we see being made work, but it would begin to explain why the whole world isn't in total chaos from hundreds of wishes being made.
This Needs to be a Series or anthology called "One Wish Willow". Based on the Universe as the phone call to customer service implies that the wishes are a norm. So different episodes based on various Wishes and the consequences thereafter.
turning this into a show was genius
I dont think that people are catching the "Frankenstein" themes in this movie AT ALL. I feel like Bear really gives off Victor Frankenstein vibes in the sense that he created something (Wish Nikki) and he cannot bear the consequences of what he has created. As a result, he tries to avoid the problem and pretend it does not exist, which in the end makes it even worse for everybody he knows. Another interesting detail that nobody else is talking about. But I am not sure that Wish Nikki was necessarily evil or terrible. I noticed that she would never do the weird and strange things again after Bear told her not to do them anymore. It seems like she was really trying to please him in many ways. But I kinda got the feel of she literally could not imagine doing anything other than trying to please Bear. It was almost like Wish Nikki was an entirely new human being who did not know how to really do anything. Similar to Frankenstein's creature when it first awoke. Wish Nikki was probably really scared and confused to just suddenly jump into existence when the wish was first made and Bear was all that she knew, similar to how Frankestein's creature only knew Frankenstein. So all of the terrible things that she did, were in some way, trying to please him or keep him in her life. And then when on the Phone with the One Wish Willow representative, the operator tells Bear that Nikki is now his responsibility and the moral thing to do was to stick by her side, just like how it was Frankenstein's responsibility to stay by his creature, which he did not do, just like Bear did not. I'm telling you...the more you think about it...the more connections and similarities will pop up.
lol he could’ve DEADASS just spoke up like she said “if you have feelings now ma the time” that was the time idiot This goes for every dude who cant get the balls to man up; there are worse things than rejection 💀
Curry has already openly stated that the romantic relationship was definitely a possibility if he was brave. This "brotherly love" thing was not the case. Sarah clearly massively fancies Bear so she overpushed that narrative so she could have a chance.
If you remove the supernatural aspect of the willow, it becomes a stand-in for anything someone might do to make another person fall in love with them. Bear is too afraid of rejection to be honest, so he creates a relationship through artificial means. Once he gets what he wants, he realizes Nikki’s love doesn’t look the way he imagined, but instead of confronting the problem or letting her go, he tries to manage it because he doesn’t want to lose her. That turns the film into a story about codependency and emotional imbalance. Nikki is fully invested in the relationship while Bear is mostly invested in keeping the relationship. When Nikki has moments of clarity or distress, Bear calms her with “I love you” rather than addressing the deeper issue. The tragedy is that they’re not experiencing the same relationship. Nikki is giving everything, while Bear is maintaining something he knows isn’t healthy because he’s afraid of being alone. What stood out to me is that Nikki isn’t completely unaware of what’s happening. Throughout the film she has moments of clarity where she realizes something is wrong, but she remains tied to Bear and keeps getting pulled back in. The tragedy isn’t just that Bear created the situation, it’s that he keeps it going because he’s afraid to lose her. When he finally ends it, Nikki is freed from the obsession, but she’s also left alone to deal with the emotional and psychological damage it caused. In that sense, the film feels less like a story about supernatural horror and more like a story about a toxic, codependent relationship where one person creates the problem and the other is left carrying the consequences.
I thought it was completely obvious the real Nikki was trapped inside and sometimes broke out like when she hits her self and says it’s not her and screams, this was supposed to be obvious no?
