With massive respect to Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra’s vision🙏, we need to accept one cinematic truth: SS Rajamouli would be a better choice than Nitesh Tiwari to direct Ramayana. Wait Wait! Let me explain.. Ramayana is not meant to be a 'grounded' film. When a scripture features the Avatar of Lord Vishnu, cosmic Divyastras capable of erasing galaxies, Hanuman Ji lifting the Dronagiri mountain, and the building of the Ram Setu across an ocean... calling it 'grounded' is a disservice to Maharishi Valmiki. Our scriptures are the original OG 'Larger Than Life' universes. People often mistakenly reduce SS Rajamouli to just a 'scale and VFX' director. But if you look closely at the core of his films, you will find the exact "deep, tragic human philosophy" that Ramayana requires. Yaad karo RRR ka wo scene jab Ram Charan bhari mann se apne hi logon ko lathi se maarta hai... uske chehre ki wo peeda, wo sakhti, ek bade lakshya (greater good) ke liye apne hi logon ki nafrat sehna aur apni aatma ko maar dena... kya wo deeply grounded aur tragic nahi tha? Yaad karo Sivagami ka wo aakhri scene. Ek rani jisne ahankaar mein galatiyan ki, par apne paapo ka prayashchit karne ke liye wo khud doob kar maut chunti hai, taaki ek haath se Mahendra Baahubali ko paani ke upar zinda rakh sake. Rajamouli ne already ek 'Ram-like' aadarsh character itni perfection ke saath banaya hai ki pure desh ke critics aur masses usse emotionally connect kar gaye the. That level of Kshama (forgiveness), sacrifice, and Maryada... Rajamouli has already proven he knows the silent pain and tragic burden of an ideal King. Now, close your eyes and visualize this phenomenon: Namit Malhotra’s 4000 crore budget and DNEG’s Oscar-winning VFX, given to Rajamouli’s vision. Imagine the shores of Lanka. The sky turns violently black as Indrajit unleashes his dark illusions. The silence is suddenly shattered by M.M. Keeravani’s roaring, thunderous BGM dropping like a cosmic earthquake. Hollywood has Marvel and DC, but a Rajamouli-directed Hindu Epic wouldn't just be an Indian blockbuster. It would force the entire world to bow down to Indian Cinema.
