In my opinion you'll like the anime. The people who say it's bad are the ones that have played the games. Since the story in the anime doesn't really resemble the one in the games. But you haven't played them and have no idea how the story goes so I think you'll enjoy it. (And also this is cyberpunk edgerunners situation where you HAVE to watch it in english)

The story in the anime wasn't just the exact same as the one in the games, which is why most OG game players hate the anime, but honestly I liked it? It's a decent story by itself, the cgi does put me off but it's a solid 7/10

Only people who hated the anime were the people who couldn’t accept that the anime wasn’t going to be the games but in a 12 episode story 😂

Watch the anime, play the game later. You'll enjoy the anime for the story and the action, instead of comparing it to the games

The anime is hella good

Ill admit, i wasn't the biggest fan of the first season but that's because of 3 reasons. 1. I played the games and had expectations for it. 2. They didn't need to girl boss Lady, she was cool enough. 3. The modern "Actually these demons are more human than some humans" type of trope that gets used and abused. If I ignore the changes and just treat it like an alternate story, its pretty enjoyable as far as adaptations go.

I didn't play the DMC game , but I really liked this animated show.....

This truly feels like Devil May Cry Song that’s pure Cinematic Gold and does justice to the Franchise, the Adaptation is Different from the Games but it has the Soul and Spirit we know and love.

I think it’s more the die hard fans that doesn’t like it with how much it distances itself from the source material and themes. But honestly even as a dmc fan I thought the show was really good and I think you’d like it as well.

I played the games and I really liked the anime, you just have to accept that it’s a reimagining. Don’t be like the stuck up fans

i actually really liked season 1. I can see why people that have played all the games think its bad, but i like that its kinda original. That just means more dmc content we havent seen before
