In my opinion, These 30 years old CGI effects made by Industrial Light & Magic in early-90s movies look much better than computer animations of today! Despite that their computers and softwares were way simpler, they used the technology in a much smarter way...

I can’t imagine how much it must’ve hurt as the mask transformed from wood to rubber; no wonder Stanley was screaming as the wood of the mask squeezed and contorted over his head!!
