I loved the first Gladiator so much that I was pumped about this movie when it came out last December. Fortunately, I was glad I never found the time to make it to the movie theater

I saw this in theaters and actually had to hold back my laugher during this scene because of how unconvincing the CGI looked and the sight of Mescal wrestling with an obviously fake monkey was almost too much for me to maintain composure. If you think the CGI looked bad here on YouTube, believe me when I say it looked so much worse on the big screen. Like, it was something I'd expect to see from a mid-00's direct-to-DVD TV special, not a multimillion-dollar theatrical release from 2024.

Can't say I have watched this movie I ignored the hype , judging by this scene my first ever look ...I made the right decision .
This movie is a spit in the face of the original film, which is still a classic.
Poor Oenamus, led a slave rebellion at one time and trained the best gladiators ( Spartacus ). The burden must have been too much to bear. (1:07 and 1:13 ).
1:05 He sat down and died meekly like a coward, a poor image of the leader of Numidia. It's so sad that such a colorful actor like Peter Mensah was given so little screen time and importance in the plot.

The first movie was much better; the music, the shots, the lighting, all was on another level. You don't get the same feeling in this one. Huge disappointment, but still slightly better than the other crap.
