Insane that the country is being so bent out of shape over an issue affecting, at the high end max, a few hundred people. (NCAA has like ten trans athletes.) And also foolish for such a molehill to be such a sticking point for Dems. Broadly the U.S. public doesn’t have much of an issue with trans people, they just think it’s ridiculous for a trans woman to compete in women’s sports, especially among youth.

If a boy says he is a girl, he is lying and is thus untrustworthy. When someone lies, determining he is untrustworthy will happen automatically. You can't lie and then get upset when people say you are untrustworthy!!!
This shouldn't be a "debate". Our policy should be based on evidence, not on ideology, and should default to inclusion in places evidence is scarce. And to be clear, all of the anti-trans bills are ideological and the evidence in favor of trans people is not scarce. This is all the result of a moral panic and it needs to be called out as it is.
