Go turbo or a 1kz-te, they make good power with a mechanical pump. Extremely reliable and very basic.

Geez biys, I woulda thought for Nav's ya got some LEDS H4 bubls from Supercheap being Navs LN ya get some Narva Nav H4s, come on bro, ya spend so much coin ya couldn't get some Narv Nav's e's sheesh lousie! Or ya coulda got some OZEparts Leds replacement lights if ya pulled out the big boy wallet, Nav'sy always the bridesmaid, never the Groom! All the Luxy's are epic, but I'm partial to navs Billy, the OG, just perfect, other than the headlights and bar falling off..

It wass good to hear you actuallygeared the luxury to suit t your tyres.by chucking the 4.88’s in to suit your 35’s just about brought your gearing almost back to standard. Did you run extractors and a 2 1/4 inch exhaust and have the pump tweaked? Try that first, . You may be surprised and reasonably happy with enough power for most things. The 3l’s didn’t like being turboed . You will chase your tail on overheating issues. I know as I did it on my ln60 4 runner. The turbo was great but I was always chasing overheating issues especially being inthe NT. I had 35’s running 5.29’s which brought the gearing close to standard and the old girl drove pretty well with the old 2.4 especially with the turbo fitted. Just had to back off in the heat down to 90 to keep it cool. If you are going to upgrade the motor, look at doing the 1kd swap like TJ did. Decide if you are running manual or auto. If manual you will need to upgrade your gearbox and if you are going auto run the 8 speed. The luxxy will be a weapon. Running the LS you will chase your tail with overheating issues and woeful fuel economy. Look at Poolies LS swap, two trips and still chasing overheating issues. The engine bay is too small and traps the heat.
