I also discuss the current controversy around Bambu Lab and whether this is really a second-generation A-series printer, or just a good A1L. this video is very good, give me so many info - thank you
Do the metal balls dissipate energy, or do they change the resonant frequency?
I have had the build plate lifting being an issue with my P1S. If I print larger size prints I have seen the plate lifting at the edge. This results in print defects including the hot end tip rubbing along existing printed area. I have printed small clips to hold the build plate down. I really appreciate a stronger magnetic attachment. How about a strong electromagnet platform? This can be turned off to make the build plate easy to remove when the print is done. I am glad you highlighted this for the A2L, but I also think this is a bigger problem affected other printers. Great job as usual with this review.
Great video. Thank you.
My A1 I got last year in April, also didn't have the cool storage for the accessories it previously came with, I did get them in a cardboard box, so I have somewhere to keep them at least
Thank you so much for being direct and fair about the issues going on. I had already resolved not to get a Bambu because of their behavior but we really need the people in the spotlight to say things about this and help keep pressure on them. Thanks for everything Stefan!
I thought I'd add this, you can use the gen2 x/p/h series nozzles on the A1 machines, but noth the other way around. So you can get the higher flow if you want it :)
I know the video is about a large bedslinger, but 4:15 I think it is good to highlight Snapmaker here. It is running klipper, open to any slicer. Provide a very good user experience and super cool functionality. (It has some disadvantages, but it is a super strong option)
Thank you for covering the issue.
Thanks for the review, I was hoping to see you test the new purging speedup they added, seems to be a firmware fix but I haven't seen may deep tech dives into it
Well... Thanks a lot for being transparent and not covering up the mess Bambu as put itself in. Sorry for your loss of affiliate and future review units.
how is the quality of parts printed on this printer? i really want a bigger surface printer but i also want quality
Very nice use of graphics to explain the concepts.
Glad to see you’re a content creator who will acknowledge this rather than letting Bambu AstroTurf with a convenient product release
6:41 Hello, I bought two printers this year BamBu Lab A1 and Bambu Lab X1-Carbon Combo and this necessary Box was not included.
i wish bambu would get it together since they are introducing so many people to 3d printing. that being said, im so dang happy with my prusa and after my negative experience with bambu, and after the bs theyre trying to pull with orca slicer, i dont see myself ever owning another bambu printer.
Damn, that thumbnail was gold!!! great video
Thanks, very informative. Laurie. NZ. 😊
Nice review. I think an important distinction is that Cartesian and bedslinger are different things. Cartesian means the axes are independent. There are plenty of Cartesian printers where the bed doesn’t move in Y like the pantheon or a modix.
Thank you for telling it straight!
