Last summer, I encounter a very large black bear near my cabin. They are terrifying. My rescued large mix (Great Dane, Boxer, Greyhound mix) dog saved my life. I did not want him to get involved but he chased the bear back into the dense forest. Now, I walk with my pack, a gun and the bear spray.
