RIP to the Steam Deck and Steam machine
You can buy a PS5 and a Switch 2 with the money for a Steam Deck
Steam Deck price increase is like fast food prices lately. They were both only good when they were cheap.
Rich "Enough of this foolishness" Boss battle starts
$700 with the controller was probably the highest I was interested in the Steam Machine, given how low power it is... and to think now it's likely to be $1000+ is just ridiculous
Drink a shot every time John says "right."
They are literally building massive AI datacenters as we speak. So the push for consumers to not own hardware is very real, and scary.
You know what they say, "Just sell a Steam Deck"
Steam Deck makes the Switch 2 currently selling for £385 look like an absolute steal
5:25 When you consider the switch 2 outsold multiple years of sales of the steam deck in a week.
0:15 Oliver sounds so sarcastic here lol good stuff
*"Good Stuff"* 😏😅
$1000 for the base? These people don't live in the real world
dude , the deck cant even run ps4 era games at stable 60 fps and it costs more than a ps5 LOL. Valve fanboys must be delusional if they actually defend Gabe on this one
Steam machine price needs to reflect the performance it will deliver. If apple can make a macbook for 600 valve needs to be prepared to deliver on a reasonable price.
My price suggestion is DON'T BUY. The long-term damage has been done.
If Steam deck is close to $1000, Steam Machine will be at least $1500-2000. If it even comes out.
Steam machine has a GPU equal to a base PS5.. if it's anything over £600 then just don't bother man. I don't care if it's a PC you can't be offering last gen specs at current gen prices. The tech world has become a joke.
The fact that people are willing to spend $1000 on a 4 year old Steam Deck is sickening. This will just be more incentive for all these companies to keep prices high even after the AI bubble bursts since the market has demonstrated there's enough suckers out there.
I have a switch 2 ps5 pro and RTx 5070 ti at msrp. Never thought it would be such a great investment
